これはなさそう。

[[Arther C. Keller]]という人が1981にAESの記事でベル研の30年代のステレオやハイファイレコーディングの仕組みを振り返っていて、ステレオ録音50年記念ということでBarry Foxという人がそれを追っかけているっぽい。Kellerは[[Blumlein]]録音の[[Alan Blumelein]]の同僚。

当たり前だけどほぼモノラルなんだな

2. Little boy. Computer suite / J.C. Risset -- カウントと、シェパードトーンでものが落ちていく音（爆弾だよね） ちょっと風の音みたいな掠れた下りスイープの音　レコードのクオリティなのか元々のコードなのか違いがわからんなあ
3. Stochastic quartet / J. Tenney -- ドラムの音結構ちゃんとスネアっぽいな　何で作ってるんだろう？ やっぱりレコードに落とした時の歪みが結構大きいなあ　これアルゴリズムでメロディの部分も含めて作ってるんだよね

5. Shepard's tones / R.N. Shepard -- ちゃんとシェパードだ（当たり前）

The container noted John Jarvis at RCA, who may be the narrator of this portion of the recording. 2) Demonstrations of computer speech, vocoding, vari-speed speech processing, harmonic processing, the artificial larynx (tone generator), and the Bell Telephone labs computer voice synthesizer.

Vocoderはアナライズ、コーデック的なものの方を指すらしい
よくできてるなあーーー

ピッチを変えずにスピード上げる/落とす（Harmonic Compressor/Expander）ってそういうことか

Artificial Larinx トランジスタで作っていることが新規 当時でもUSに3000人声帯をなくした人がいる
流石にピッチはほとんど変えてない

1. Mar-ra-la-a -- Joseph Olive 声の引き伸ばしと、コンピューター合成の声と2つが同時に使われている　歌詞が説明になっていて、デモがそのまま曲になってるみたいな曲だ これどこまでがコンピューター合成なんだろう
2. String Quartet in F major (Third movement) -- Maurice Rave トレモロとかも含めて表現されてるのおもろ(結構チップチューンみたいな曲になってる） これ微妙にフィルターもエンベロープでいじってるか？

ていうかこれ全然ノイズなくて綺麗だな.この二つはレコード経由せずに直接デジタル化されたのかな
